When Albert Fern creates a drug that promises eternal life, free of disease. The only catch is, it's stopped working. Fern's drug to circumvent death itself proves useful for a while, until scientists discover that it doesn't protect against all diseases.
This is an excellent book, told from many interesting points of view.
