The Mockingbirds is a great book. Its about standing up for what is right. Alex is dateraped at a club. She must find her voice and stand up for what is right. She doesn't want to go to the police so she goes to the Mockingbirds. They are a group made up of students to help people stand up for what is right. The school won't do anything about what happens among the students though. They think that their school is perfect and they don't want their image damaged. Alex isn't just speaking up for herself though, she finds out that this has happened to other people but they haven't said anything about it.
